Latest Release News from Pentatone

Forte Distribution, PentaTone’s new US distributor, recently released in the USA ‘Russian Violin Concertos‘, the long awaited debut SACD of Julia Fischer. Recorded in Moscow in May 2004, the album features the Khachaturian Violin Concerto, Prokofiev’s First Violin Concerto, and Glazunov’s Violin Concerto. Ms. Fischer is accompanied by the Russian National Orchestra, conducted by Yakov Kreizberg. The album will be an “Editor’s Choice” in the January 05 issue of ‘Gramophone’. Julia Fischer will also be featured in the “One To Watch” section of the same issue of ‘Gramophone’.

As one of today’s greatest talents, Julia Fischer performs with orchestras throughout the world. Earlier this year Ms. Fischer toured Germany with the Academy of St. Martin in the Field, conducted by Neville Marriner. In October she was on tour with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Germany and Switzerland and she has just completed a United States tour with the Dresdner Philharmonie conducted by Rafael Frьbeck de Burgos.
