JVCs 4K camcorder still on track

There was a lot of skepticism when JVC announced it was working on a camcorder capable of shooting in 4K – four times the resolution of 1080p. But the company has let loose a little update, letting us know that the camcorder is coming along just fine, and in fact, it isn’t any larger than a regular 1080p camcorder from JVC.

There’s still no release date or price, but JVC showcased a working model at CES a few days ago, which shot video at 3,840×2,160 resolution (8.3-megapixel frames) at 60 frames per second. Not bad.
