Japanese Nissho starts selling 52 inch 3D TV, no glasses needed

.

The “Glasses” part of 3D viewing is always being criticized, but now Japanese electronics maker Nissho has not just announced, but actually put on the market, a 52 inch 3D TV where glasses are no required. Not only that, it’s done at full 1080p resolution, 2000:1 contrast ration and 8ms response time. The TV can also convert regular 2D images into 3D, but we’re not sure how the quality of those will be.

In either case, if you have the $20,800 required to get one of these TVs, you’ll find out soon. As for us, we’d like to get a few reviews on this new behemoth, and perhaps a price cut or two, before we open our pocket books.
