Taiwan-based ITRI has introduced a new 6-inch flexible AMOLED display that’s slated to debut in a line of e-readers in the near future. Dubbed the “FlexUPD”, this 1mm display will have a 5cm folding radius, coupled with 150 nits of brightness and “unbreakable” construction. Potentially, the FlexUPD could be an impressive product if flexible displays ever become high in demand within the consumer market. It will be interesting to see in the following weeks, months or even years, whether or not this development will succeed.
