.Hauppauge recently exhibited the latest affordable High Definition Video Recorder for PCs. The HD PVR has the capability to record video from HD cable TV or satellite boxes into H.264 in real time. It comes equipped with IR blaster for scheduled TV recordings. This USB personal video recorder connects to high definition cable TV or satellite TV set top box receivers. Besides high definition ISO standard H.264 recordings, the Hauppauge HD PVR is capable of creating AVCHD recordings. The HD PVR is scheduled to ship in Q1 2008 at a retail price of $249.
