This isn’t the first time that we have reported on the V-MODA Crossfade LP headphones before, and it probably won’t be the last.

I finally got my chance to try them out for myself, and man, I was impressed at the 50mm Dual-Diaphragm High-Definition Driver. Needless to say, it was heavy on my ears, as are most cushioned headphones. Not as heavy as I thought, because it looked like there was some serious metal on the ears.

One of the features that I don’t hear much about is the cord. The V-MODA Crossfade LP’s cord is less like a headphone cord and more like a rope. It actually is a Kevlar reinforced cable, so it is quite strong.

All in all, it produces a lot of good sound, but you do have to pay $199.99 for them at the V-MODA site here. If you want, you can even personalize these guys.
