Pantronics has announced a new updated version of the GameCom 777 headset that sports practically the same design and includes a USB amp. The update is actually the 7.1 surround sound for this updated headset which also has a hide-away mic that you can use when the need arises.

The hidden mic boasts of noise-cancelling features while the headphones feature padded ear pods for added comfort. There is no word on pricing and when the updated GameCom 777 headsets will be released. The previous version retailed for $100.
