Zang Tuum Tumb (ZTT) Records has announced that they have made a second pressing of the Multichannel SACD entitled “Rage Hard: The Sonic Collection” by British rock group Frankie Goes to Hollywood. The first pressing of the SACD sold out and the disc was unavailable for purchase until recently.
Rage Hard features the group’s hit singles Relax, Two Tribes and Power of Love as well as lively covers of hits by other recording artists (Ferry Cross The Mersey, Do You Know the Way to San Jose, War, Born to Run) in a newly remastered album on Super Audio CD (SACD). It also has some aggressive surround mixes highlighted by the tune Welcome to Thunderdome.
The disc is a Hybrid Layer Multichannel SACD. It features three separate mixes of the music on the album from the original multi-track studio masters: a Stereo CD mix, a Stereo Direct Stream Digital (DSD) mix and a 5.1 Multichannel DSD mix.
