AIX have announced the January/February availability of two additional DVD-Audio titles, recorded, produced and mastered at 24-bit 96kHz. The titles, brought forward from their original February/March release dates are:
Patrice Rushen, Darek Oleszkiewicz and Ndugu Chancler; ‘Piano, Bass and Drums’ (cat: AIX 80009)
Peppino D’Agostino/Guitar and Juan Van Emmerloot/Percussion; ‘Peppino D’Agostino, Acoustic Guitar’ (cat: AIX 80013)
Both discs are double-sided, with DVD-Video compatible data on one side, which contains the complete work with multiple camera angle video, alternate mixes – “stage” and “audience” – DTS and Dolby Digital audio tracks and a comprehensive array of informative screens about the project and the performers. There are photos from the sessions and complete technical information about the recording. The alternative side contains the 5.1 DVD-Audio mix, delivered via Meridian Lossless Packing.
