For $5, you can watch AVCHD video on a PS3

When it comes to the PS3, there are a lot of new things happening, like the new Surround Sound system, for example.

Sony has recently revealed another interesting application known as Filmy. Yes, that does sound like something that is a problem for your windshield, but this allows easy organization and viewing of AVCHD video recorded with Sony cameras.

Once the program is installed, the user can easily find it under the cross-media bar. It is as simple as plugging in a camera to the PS3 via USB cable from there.

There is a $5 installation fee for it, and there is a 15-minute trial mode if you want to test it out. Hopefully, that is enough time to test it out.
