Dublin pub receives largest 3D screen in Europe

If you love pub crawling, then do ensure that you make a beeline for a pub in Dublin, Ireland, where they have just installed what they claim to be the largest 3DTV in Europe – via a 3D projector, of course. The screen itself is a massive 200-inches across diagonally, where it was custom made courtesy of the UK Company Extreme Screens for The Living Room. The name of such a company gives the game away, doesn’t it?

The projector in question is the LG CF3D, where it will boast a brightness of 2500 ANSI lumens, a 7000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, no less. According to the pub, this screen will mainly see action when it comes to sporting events (assuming ESPN does 3D sports regularly, of course). Osmosis Ireland’s Liam Sheehan has this to say, “We have provided a totally new viewing experience for sports fans at The Living Room. This is exactly the type of investment publicans should be making if they want to bring the punters in their door time-after-time. 3D sport is exciting and has all the ingredients for a great night out with friends at your local.”

Hopefully the beer goggles effect won’t interfere with the brains ability to comprehend 3D material at such a large scale for you, lest you throw up all over the place due to the disorientation.
