Dolby Unveils New Digital Cinema Solutions at Cinema Expo 2009

There is no doubt that whenever Dolby has something new to showcase, expectations are high. And for the Cinema Expo 2009, Dolby has once again taken the spotlight with the announcement of its new digital cinema solutions which include the Dolby Screen Server and the CP750 Digital Cinema processor.

“The DSS200, accompanied by the recently introduced CP750 Digital Cinema Processor, reinforces Dolby’s leadership in delivering the latest digital cinema solutions to the industry,” said Ramzi Haidamus, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Dolby Laboratories. “Dolby continues to innovate and deliver a wide range of comprehensive and reliable solutions that simplify and ease the digital cinema transition for exhibitors.”

The new DSS200 is the all-in-one platform to store, decode, and deliver pristine movies to a digital cinema projector. With its existing FIPS-certified media block and DCI-compliant server, the DSS200 offers improved storage, serviceability, and interoperability.

On the other hand, the new Dolby CP750 is Dolby’s next-generation audio processor, and extends the company’s commitment to make upgrading both easy and economical in the new digital cinema environment. It seamlessly integrates with preshow servers, alternative content, and digital cinema servers.
