Dish Network Gets Down On 3D Craze, Offers Content Through VOD Service

Dish Network is one of the biggest satellite providers in the country with consumers all around. However, while other service providers are making the shift towards offering 3D content, Dish Network has generally lagged behind. Luckily, for those of you who have both a 3D TV/projector and Dish Network, you will be happy to hear that the company is now providing 3D content through their VOD service.

Of course, in the beginning, things are a bit slow with only the below movies making the cut for between $5.99 – $7.99:

  • Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
  • The Last Airbender
  • A Christmas Carol
  • Step Up 3D
  • Despicable Me
  • Shrek Forever After
  • Saw: The Final Chapter

Unfortunately, there is no word on any dedicated 3D channels like ESPN3D (despite the network airing their first NBA game in 3D) but if the VOD takes off, we’re sure the channels won’t be far behind.
