DirecTV DVRs Get YouTube Streaming

February 19, in DVR

If you head down to your local video rental store there are probably shelves full of movies and television shows for you to feast your eyes on. However, with the emergence of the Internet you can get more content delivered to you instantly from the comfort of your own counch than would ever be able to fit in a warehouse, let alone single retail location.

YouTube is a big part in offering a ton of content with funny videos, full length movies and original series all making the cut. While just about every Internet enabled device already supports YouTube streaming, DirecTV just announced that their DVR boxes can now also stream YouTube content. You won’t need to do anything fancy updating or anything of the sort as YouTube videos may not begin to appear in your Smart Search results.
