Coby DVD765 Home Theater System-Dirt Cheap and Acts Like It

Coby products are often a bit lower down on the food chain, metaphorically speaking.  But they do have one critical advantage going for them–their price tags.  The Coby DVD765 is a pretty sorry system, but if you’re looking for cheap, then this is exactly where you need to be.

The Coby DVD765 is a three hundred watt 5.1 channel home theater system that offers up five speakers, a subwoofer, the Dolby Digital surround sound decoder, a DVD player, a composite video output, an S-video output, a component video output, and three rear stereo outputs.

You can see that this is a profoundly bare bones system, with virtually no tools to its name other than exactly what it says on the box.  It’s five speakers, a subwoofer and a DVD player, not much more than that.  And while the controls are simple to work with–they don’t control very much at all so they’d have to be.  The sound quality is the worst part of this whole system, horrible overall.

So why am I even mentioning this?  Well, simple–if budget is your lead consideration, and it has to be your LEAD consideration–the Coby DVD765 is yours brand new from Amazon for sixty six dollars.  Dinner for two can be more expensive than this home theater system.  You’ll get what you pay for, but if you’re okay with diminished capacity then that won’t be a problem.

The Coby DVD765 is dirt cheap, but won’t offer very much for the asking price.
