China Digital TV Shows Off Products at CCBN 2009

China Digital TV will be showing off its new line of products once the 17th China Content Broadcasting Network Exhibition (CCBN 2009) gets underway from March 21 to 23, 2009. At the exhibition, the Company will showcase new features of its CDCAS system, a market leading proprietary conditional access system which has been installed on over 200 TV networks across China.

The new features include support for various value-added service applications for digital TV programming, such as push video-on-demand, personal video recorder (PVR) with content protection and two-way public key infrastructure (PKI) authentication.

The Company will also demonstrate its Electronic Program Guide (EPG) advertising platform. China Digital TV’s EPG can transmit text, images, audio and video clips among other forms of data to set-top boxes at high-speed. The EPG’s flexible and rapid content delivery ability enables a new advertising platform on digital TV networks and requires minimal hardware upgrades.

Additionally, the Company will demonstrate several user-end solutions including the NSM 6008 “air mouse.” The NSM 6008 provides precision three-dimensional positioning and employs “air mouse” and “air multiple points” input methods which substantially improve the user interface and are applicable to various peripheral applications including remote control and gaming console.

The CCBN Exhibition, which commenced in 1993 and currently takes place in Beijing every March, is one of Asia’s largest exhibitions and the only international exhibition of broadcast technology in China.
