ASUS O!Play Mini player has USB 3.0

December 26, in Set Box

I have been invited to a Press Conference for ASUS at CES 2011, and I’ve heard that there will probably be Android tablets there from them.

It looks like there will also be an O!Play HD2 Mini Player (not to be confused with the O!Play Media Player), which could be the first media device to support USB 3.0. It also has a USB 2.0 connector with an SD/MMC/MS/XD card reader, not to mention an HDMI 1.3 connector and RCA outputs. As for file support, it looks like MKV, MTS, OGG, and FLAC files.

There is no word on price or availability as yet, and who knows when there will be?
