Apple is without a doubt one of the most recognizable tech companies in the world. Of their products, their line up of Mac computers, smartphones and MP3 players have been gaining a ton of traction over the years. In fact, the company has even given us home theater addicts some love with their Apple TV set top box that allows consumers to do things like stream media from a computer and even from iTunes and Netflix. However, while the device is called the Apple TV, it’s not actually a TV.

Rumors have been circulating for quite some time that Apple would come forth at some point to release their own television but nothing official has been said thus far. Well, additional rumors have surfaced today that say Apple is actually looking to release an HDTV at some point this year with a price tag of $2,000. Unfortunately, we can’t officially confirm something but it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch considering the direction Apple has been moving as of late.
