Apple reveals new Final Cut Pro X

Apple has been rumored to reveal a brand new version of its Final Cut Pro editing suite at this year’s NAB, and they’ve done just that. Called Final Cut Pro X, it will offer full 64 bit support (meaning it can finally utilize more than 4GB of RAM), will have several new features like background rendering, support for 4K resolution, will offer image stabilization, and it’ll scale on multi-core systems – anywhere from a Macbook to an 8 core Mac Pro.

Best of all, Final Cut Pro X will be available this June and will cost just $299 through Apple’s Mac App Store. Previously, Final Cut Pro cost over three times as much, $1,000, so this is certainly a great deal.
