Apple Job Listing Suggests Tech Giant Will Launch HDTV

Apple is currently leading the pack in the tech world in terms of valuation and many of their products, including the iPhone and iPad, are near the top of the ranks in their own respective niches. While these products span a wide array of different categories from phones and laptops to MP3 players and set-top boxes, they have yet to break into the HDTV market.

While there has been nothing official said of the matter, Apple has just posted a job listing looking for a TV Power Supply Engineer. Does this mean the company is looking to finally get into the HDTV game? Check out an excerpt from the job listing below:

The position primarily involves high-density offline power supply’s development for Apple’s next generation Macintosh platforms spanning from notebook computers, desktop computers, servers, standalone displays and TV.

While there’s no telling if this means that Apple is looking to actually release an HDTV anytime soon (if at all) it sure does add quite a bit of steam to the rumors. We’ll have to wait and see how this one pans out.
