I suppose that we have seen a lot of Kinect hacks in the past few months since its release. Remember that one that rendered the user invisible? Now watch as the user’s skin is made invisible.

You can watch the video above and see footage from the Technical University of Munich pull off this Magic Mirror program that allows the user to see his or her own body like they had Superman’s X-ray vision.

It uses Open NI and PrimeSense NITE to pull off this effect, and the body that you see is actually a CT scan from someone else.

It is cool enough to make me believe in a world like Total Recall, where one can see a perfectly rendered skeleton as someone passes through X-ray security scanners.
