Denon have announced their intention to release a second region 2 DVD-Audio player in early 2002.
The Denon DVD-1600 will target the Ј500 market and prop up Denon’s flagship DVD-3300 and is already available in some overseas PAL markets, most notably Germany (also region 2) and Australia (region 4).
The player will feature 24-bit 192kHz D/A converters, an audio-only mode and integral Dolby Digital and DTS decoders. The DVD-1600 is also said to support CD-DA, Video CD, CD-R and CD-RW. It’ll be available in either black or gold/champagne finishes.
