November 24, in DVD-Audio News

If all goes to plan, 3Bone Audio, a group of fourth year Radio and Television Arts students from Toronto’s Ryerson University may be responsible for producing Canada’s first DVD-Audio disc.

The ambitious non-profit venture relies on industry sponsorship to pay the bills – for which companies will receive ample promotion – and the generosity of leading artists, all of whom are supporting the project. They include Maestro, Ivana Santilli, Oba Funke, Half Full, KAJE, MC Collizhun, Jugular, e-3 and Pocket Dwellers.

Sponsorship opportunities are being broken down into five packages, with the resulting exposure being based on the contribution made. They are (all Canadian dollars):

Bronze: $100 – $1,000
Silver: $1,000 – $2,000
Gold: $3,000
Platinum: $5,000
Title: $15,000

Many other fundraising projects are planned, including ‘Choctails’, a jam session/party that takes place at 218 Richmond Street West, Toronto on 28th November from 9pm.
